Great Texas GI Joe Show
Coming February 7-8, 2009, Arlington TX.
I can't wait!!!!
I'm working on two or three figures for the custom figure contest. I'm not gonna tell quite yet what I'm bringing. I have one ready, time will tell as to how many more I'll bring.
I will be doing three seminaars for the show:
Mold making/ casting headsculpts- body mods
Painting headsculpts
Weathering uniforms
These will be alot of fun. Hope to see alot of you there.
Let me know if you check my blog when you see me.

Newly finished head sculpts

I'm working with a new product, Smooth-On 325 resin. This stuff is great. I am able to tint the resin to a translucent fleshtone with their compatible tint. The heads were not "painted" per se using the usual undercoat/ pastel method, just pastels. The effect is more lifelike, with a greater depth than traditional paint.

This is a "before and after" shot- The HS on the right is fresh from the mold, left is a pastel tinted HS.
