Extremely different bash

Found a very interesting headsculpt at Big!Lots , and had to just had to use it. The hardest part was removing the head and connecting it to the modified BBI G3.5 body. I settled on using two ball joints from a laptop light I found at Target for a dollar.

The ACU's are DiD, most of the other gear is Toy Soldier. The AK is from Boford, and the M4 is a Hot Toys repaint.

New PMC

Started with a modified BBI G3.5 body. The jeans are from Reload Action. A Dr. Figure CIA shirt was added. The M4 is a Boford mixture. I repainted a DML "Josh Akerman" headsculpt. The BHI plate carrier is from BBI.

Reworked headsculpt

Reworked the headsculpt I used on the PMC. I didn't want to risk ruining it when I cast it in RTV rubber. I'm planning on casting a few of these.

Marine Force Recon

Began as a repaint of the Toy Soldier Jeff Gregoric. When I received the set, I was very disappointed in the stock paint job.

I stripped the paint from the sculpt, and did a repaint. Almost unrecognizable as the same sculpt.

I used a modified BBI G3.5 body with the chest thinned 7mm, and various Toy Sokdier accessories.

Private Military Contractor

Project I threw together for the Great Texas GI Joe Show in March, 2007. The head sculpt is a modified BBI sculpt. I began by casting the original in resin, and "shaved" his head. I them reshaped the nose and added a moustache and soul patch. The M4 has a Duostock scratchbuilt from styrene.

Marine Project

My latest project began with a BBI G3.5 body, and thinned the chest by 8mm. I re-dyed a Toy Soldier flight suit from the Jeff Gregorvic set with tan RIT dye. I shadowed the seams with Prisma Color and Copic art pens. The head sculpt is a repainted BBI offering. I use a base coat of Americana artist acryllics thinned with Testors Acryl thinner. The shading is done with artist pastels, fixed with Testor's Dull Coat.
